DCNA & CARMABI Water Quality Symposium 2025

Highlights of 2025 Water Quality Symposium

Wednesday 5th November 2025 - Program

Join us as we come together to raise awareness about the vital connection between water quality, people, and nature—both locally and across the wider Caribbean region including the launch of our DCNA Conservation and Restoration of Key Habitats Program. This special symposium also marks 70 years of CARMABI’s impact in research and conservation, celebrating decades of scientific discovery and action for nature.

This symposium, scheduled for the 5th of November 2025 in Curaçao, will focus on the crucial role of water quality in supporting both ecological and human health. It will bring together experts, researchers, and stakeholders to discuss the latest methods for tracking water quality, and explore the impacts on marine ecosystems and community well-being.

Outcomes from the symposium will be actively shared to support conservation measures and influence policy, with a strong focus on advancing water quality protection for the benefit of ecosystems and communities alike.

This activity is endorsed by the United Nations Oceans Decade.
