Hendrik Mattheus (Henk) Brons (1956) studied journalism in Utrecht. He worked for a daily newspaper as political and economics editor in The Hague and Rotterdam between 1979 and 1990. In 1990 he became Director of Information of the Ministry of Education, Culture and Science.
From 2002-2015 Henk Brons worked in the Prime Minister’s Office in The Hague. The last seven years as Director-General of the Government Information Service (RVD), in that capacity being press secretary of the Prime Minister, Cabinet and the Royal House.
In 2016 he moved to Curacao as Representative of the Netherlands in Aruba, Curacao and St. Maarten. During the three years Henk lived in the Dutch Caribbean, he fell in love with the natural beauty of the six islands and became more and more aware of the urgent need to safeguard the unique nature.
In 2018 Brons was appointed Director-General for Kindom Relations at the Ministry of the Interior and Kingdom Relations in The Hague. In 2023 he retired and became a board member of DCNA.
