Intro to Data Analysis Workshop

Background and goals of this meeting

This workshop provides an introduction to data analysis and is aimed at participants who have some (or no) statistical background.

The course includes:

1) Introduction to statistics

2) Data manipulation and handling

3) Data analysis (e.g., standard tests for measures of species diversity, community similarity etc.

4) Data interpretation and presentation (including report/paper writing)
Participants need to be familiar with Microsoft Excel software, which covers a good range of the introductory statistical tests.

Computers will be supplied on site. Participants bringing their own laptop with them must make sure they have Excel installed and with the Data Analysis Add-inn.  If you do not have this “add-in” already installed you can do so here:
